I’ve only been with my boyfriend for a few weeks, but we are both very much devoted to one another. For xmas we sat a spending limit of around £100. We’re both 21 and spending xmas with our families in our respective countries, so we’ll be 2-3 weeks apart around that time.
This is what I was thinking of getting him:
- A black leather watch case holding 6 watches (he once said he’s been meaning to get one- he’s got some amazing watches) – approx £50
- A bobble head doll/headknocker of the Joker from The Dark Knight (he collects bobbleheads) or should I maybe get Catwoman? He loves Halle Berry… – £15
- A great horror movie classic we can watch together when he gets back from the US. Can anyone tell me a good one? (We’ve been talking about watching a couple together as we both scare easily)
- And lastly, I was thinking of buying some nice stationary and writing him a sexy “i miss you” type letter. I thought I’d get a bottle with a cork and wrap the whole thing up in a box. Kind of a romantic message in a bottle. We won’t have seen each other for a week or two by that point, so I’m sure we’ll miss each other. The letter is not a love letter, but rather me telling him what I miss and what I can’t wait for us to do (sexy, yet tasteful).
What do you think?? I am so nervous I have gone over board, but we’re really into each other, so I really hope he’ll like it.
But is there any way it could not go down well? Guys, if your g/f gave you a gift like that, what would you think/how would you feel??
Any input is much appreciated!!

You sound a very thoughtful young lady, but may I point out one mistake which spoils this question. Instead of we sat a spending limit, you should have put. Wet set a spending limit.
I think he is very lucky! You have really thought this through and I hope he does the same for you. Im sure he will appreciate your gifts and the effort that came with them.
i think it all sounds great!! .. i plan on getting my boyfriend a watch too.. mind giving me a preview of the one you plan on buying your guy? cuz i’ve seen loads of watches so far, but cant seem to choose an appropriate one :S
hey and … dont give all of those at once… give one for christmas and the rest just randomly at any time, so it doesnt seem like you’re giving him gifts only on occasions such as christmas or his birthday or valentines day etc..
