Firstly thank you to every respondent to my last question re: my error message and pop-ups.
I have taken on board some of the advice and installed firefox and am using that instead of internet explorer.
However whenever i try and log onto ebay or amazon they take ages to load or don’t load at all. the messages appear at the bottom of the screen ‘waiting for include.ebaystatic.com’ and ‘waiting for z-ecx.images-amazon.com’ respectively.
Any ideas how to solve this?
Thank you.

i’m not sure if this is an error, all i can suggest is make sure you have the latest version of firefox
there is an extension called FasterFox which makes browsing much much, ahem, snappier – the mozilla link is http://fasterfox.mozdev.org/
good luck!
Try getting to them via another search engine e.g. Google
or Yahoo if you get logged on save the e-bay and amazon pages to favourites.
Hope it works if it does next time just click on your favourites and go straight to those pages.
You might want to check your message box or reviews page in eBay. You may have spoof!
i was reading today about some people having problems with accesing certain sites that have talktalk routers/accounts and there is a fix ….most of the people seem to have spent a long time on the phone to talktalk and they have not been able to rectify ……….
this is from the forum
Just recently installed my talk talk HG520 wireless router and everything is great except when I try to access ebay or hotmail it just stops!! any other page is fine
Can any one help with that?
I’ve just found the fix for this. Under WAN setting in Basic there is a figure off 1400 in the TCP MSS box. Change this to 0 and all should be well.
Thanks so much the above solution this has sorted my TalkTalk problems which have been thru talktalk’s first and second line support and hours of phone calls with no help whatsover.
From a very grateful reader!!!!
hope it helps
