I have noticed on the internet how customer’s can leave feed back on message board’s like trip advisor for example.
What I wish to know do all hotel’s have access to a database on customer comments, complaint’s profile etc.
Even if they have not stayed at their Hotel?
What I mean is a central Data base, that has all customer’s comment’s.

I left a review on Trip Advisor for apartments in Edinburgh last year. It was a good review with a very minor niggle (problems with oven).
The hotel actually contacted me via Trip Advisor thanking me for the good comments and acknowledging the niggle stating that they will ensure that this is sorted this out. So they obviously have access to the reviews on their own establishment.
I know that the owners/managers of establishments can certainly register themselves as owners with sites such as tripadvisor and virtualtourist. Not difficult to just keep an eye on who’s saying what, is it?!
