Hello all,
I see somebody with ‘Top Contributor’ and I also see a few with well over 3000 points for example with for example, their subscription being more than a year.
I just wondered really if people come on here in terms of it being part of their life.
I mean, in my case, the internet, with these message boards in particular are great to generate instantaneous replies/views/opinions, and well as gaining quick advice.
I enjoy coming on here and helping others but admittingly enjoy getting a top answer – it’s a buzz for me undeniably.
However, I’m just wondering if people spend a lot of time on here rather than getting their teeth into other activities.
I mean, I’m practically on the internet on a daily basis, mainly to check the football and the music sites as well as catch up with business email and online friends.
Are many people getting a little too comfortable on Yahoo Answers and relying on this a little too much, or on the other hand just have an awful lot of freetime.
In saying that, is Yahoo Answers classed a favourite pass-time?
Appreciate all views
Cheers

I just like helping people as best i can.
I also learn quite a lot too!
I’ll admit. I am not doing all my projects that i have on the agenda. I come on check my mail maybe look if i got any best answers answer a few ask a few.. next thing 8 hrs down the drain. And I consider my self a light user, The most points i ever got in one week was 500 and i was on almost 10 hrs a day.
I joined because I used to look through the questions a lot and really wanted to join. It’s not my favourite pastime as I have other pastimes as well. I would probably call it a hobby for me as I don’t go on it to often. Another reason I joined and although it sounds cliché there is a lot of people I can help on it
